TYPES OF PASSES
Employment Pass
Employment Pass is required for foreign talents to be employed by companies in Malaysia for a duration of employment contract of up to 60 months.
Dependant Pass
Dependant Pass is applied for Employment Pass holder's/applicant's:

Children below 18 years (Biological/Adopted/Step Child)

Social Visit Pass
Social Visit Pass is applied for Employment Pass holder's/applicant's:

Eligibility for Employment Pass [Malaysia Digital Status (MD) & ICT Companies]
The Applicant is to :
-
Possess tertiary qualification from an institution of higher learning (in any field); or
-
Possess a diploma in multimedia/ICT or another specialised ICT certification and at least 5 years’ relevant experience in multimedia/ICT or an equivalent field; or
-
Has held a professional, executive, management or technical work position in information technology (“IT”) enabled services (e.g. IT / IS Professionals, Finance / Accounting, Business Administration)

Salary: a MINIMUM monthly salary of RM3,000.00

Industry / Sector: Applicant working with Malaysia Digital Status (Previously known as MSC Malaysia Status) and companies in ICT sector only.
*Special exemptions are given to foreign knowledge workers who do not meet the above criteria but are to be employed for the following:

Global Business Services - foreign workers with knowledge-based skills that are not prevalent in Malaysia, but required by MD and ICT companies.

Creative Content and Technologies - workers who utilize creative talent to produce value-added creative work.
